Vertical Markets Offers New Training Service for Aviation Marketing Professionals
Denver, Colorado - July 16, 2012 - Vertical Markets, a PR and marketing firm specializing in solutions for the business and general aviation industries, is now offering training for aviation marketing professionals.
Vertical Markets launched the new service in early July citing demand from companies who have a marketing department, but wanted to further educate their staff on effective marketing strategies in aviation.
"The principles of marketing are generally the same regardless of the industry you are in," commented Kandi M. Spangler, President of Vertical Markets. "However, knowing the aviation landscape and what strategies are effective in this industry does have its advantages," continued Spangler. "Our training provides professionals with effective tips and tactics to reach an audience we know very well."
Spangler was Vice President of Marketing for Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI) prior to starting Vertical Markets in 2011, and has been working in aviation since 1996. She noted that in most cases, companies in the aviation industry hire someone to fill their marketing role in one of two ways. 1) They hire a marketing professional who needs to be educated on aviation or 2) they hire someone who knows a lot about aviation but must then be educated on marketing. It is rare to find a seasoned marketing professional who knows aviation well.
The new training service helps bridge the gap between standard marketing principles and aviation know-how, equipping professionals with the knowledge they need to develop an effective go-to-market strategy for their company. Training is done at the customer's location and includes a comprehensive marketing plan developed by both student and teacher, as well as a marketing budget, calendar and measurable goals.
