Our Mission
During her career, Ms. Spangler has been an active participant with numerous aviation organizations and a vocal advocate for the industry. She has served as President of the Midwest Schedulers & Dispatchers Group, held Board positions with the Chicago Area Business Aviation Association (CABAA), and is a longtime member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), and the International Aerobatic Club (IAC). She currently sits on the Board for Eagle and Associates Financial Services Corporation, serves on the Access Committee for the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), and volunteers for the Airventure Cup Race. She also recently started flying aerobatics in 2009. She and her husband, Shannon, are avid pilots and enjoy flying their Cessna 182, based at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (KBJC) in Colorado.

Vertical Markets, LLC was founded in 2011 by Kandi M. Spangler, an industry veteran with close to 20 years of aviation industry experience and 15 years of sales and marketing experience.
Ms. Spangler began flying in 1993 taking lessons at a local flight school at Columbian County Airport in Lisbon, OH. She then went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, while working for a local flight school at the Daytona International Airport.
Upon graduation, Ms. Spangler went to work for NetJets, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, where she worked in operations until 2000, when she joined The Air Group, Inc., opening their Orange County, California location. For the next five years, Ms. Spangler worked for the national charter company selling aircraft charter and management, managing their John Wayne Airport location, and later, their Chicago location. Most recently, Ms. Spangler led a successful career working for Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI) as the company's Vice President, Marketing.
